Amplifying our voices & The Big One

When the problems are BIG we can feel small.

Sometimes it’s hard to feel like your actions could make a difference in the face of the climate crisis, right?

But when we act together our efforts have a real impact.

Change happens when we come together, unite our voices and call for action!

So if you’re feeling overwhelmed by wondering what to do, read on…

Why should we amplify our voices?

As the global temperature rises and extreme weather events become more common, it's clear that we need to take action to prevent further damage to our planet.

At only 1.2°C of warming we are already seeing the dangerous impacts of the climate crisis unfolding around the world in the form of floods, wildfires, extreme heat events, drought and famine.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) sounds the final alarm with latest IPCC report.

UN secretary general, António Guterres tells us: "Our world needs climate action on all fronts: everything, everywhere, all at once."

The report makes it incredibly clear, this is the last time they can issue the alarm; we have to listen, act, and demand change.

In order to limit the worst of climate change, we need to rapidly expand renewable energy production, invest in removal technology, increase climate finance and phase out all fossil fuel infrastructure.

How can we amplify our voices?

The climate emergency is a global, interdependent, Wicked Problem and that can make us feel helpless, lost, and sometimes overwhelmed. I get it.

Community, and collective action can feel like medicine to overcome these feelings.

As much as we need widespread, collective action to demand rapid deescalation of fossil fuels, I think we need it just as much as individuals.

You matter, your impact matters, your voice matters, and we all have a part to play.

When and what?

That’s why I’m joining 100,000 others on April 21st to demand our government take necessary action to curb our unliveable emissions trajectory, and take our future seriously!
